Firefly Festival
I went to the much anticipated Firefly Festival out in the woods down by the river (Pot Point House in the Tennessee River Gorge) last night.
Madison, Molly, Jenny and Cope came with us too. Daddy got headlamps for us so we could see in the dark.
When we got to the Firefly Festival we saw a big campfire and daddy roasted a smarshmellow. I did not want it because it got brown. Madison and I ended up going to play on the big rocks in the woods.
We went inside the house and got to make firefly cookies (cookie, icing, yellow sprinkles and red hots for eyes.)
When it got dark we turned on our headlamps and walked down a trail to find fireflies. It was dark and spooky. The trail was muddy sometimes because it was right by the river. We saw some bats too. I scratched my hand on a prickly bush, but it is okay.
We had a real great time. After we left we went to Krystal and I had a cherry icee and fry fries. Madison and I ran all over the estaurant and had fun with baby Lucy and Molly.
